Broken Tap Removal via EDM We now offer an EDM service to customers wishing to remove broken taps from any steel or aluminium parts. You may alternatively have a rusted in stud or screw which you would like to be removed from a components or machinery. We have the capability to go offsite and remove broken taps if required. This process can also be used to spark our holes in hardened material which standard HSS or Carbide drills cannot do effectively. Our EDM machine is portable type so we can do hard to get to jobs aswell. Other applications include die and punch mold industry where wirecutting holes are required in prehardened tool steel.
Special Surface Treatments: Phosphate Conversion: We now have a setup to do parkerizing, or phosphate conversion according to DEF STAND 03-11-Class 1 or Class 2. We can do either zinc or manganese phosphate conversion. This treatment is used to create a thin rust resistant surface coating which is a process commonly used to treat gun parts, military, engineering or mining components, where a thin but durable surface coating is required on metalic components allowing components to be wear resistant. The phosphate conversion or parkerizing process allows oil to be absorbed and retained within the very thin surface coating thus components can have a durable bearing surface between two moving parts. This custom manufactured spanner shown below was forged and then parkerized. We also manufactured and riveted on handles.
We can also do black-oxiding on steel components such as the Union Adapter that we manufactured completely inhouse below.
The above product is a "diamond hole saw water supply union adapter" used to supply internal coolant down the center of a rotating hole saw. We can manufacture any custom union adapter similar to that shown above to customers requests. We also manufacture Mortar Cleaners

These gas enclosures were developed and patented in Partner between Jonda Pty Ltd and Speedex Engineering in order to meet the Australian government safety standard which required all gas bottles to be transported in properly made and designed safety enclosures. These boxes are the best on the market in regards to meeting and exceeding all the required safety standards so that flammable gas bottles can be transported in the safest method. The following is one interesting and innovative example of a product which we have designed in the past: ------------------------------------RETRACTABLE SAFETY NEEDLE SYRINGE------------------------------------------ This is a retractable safety needle syringe which we have designed to eliminate needle stick injuries amongst health professionals. It is designed to be non- reusable and can also be marketed and distributed by chemists to the wider public as they are designed to be used once. This automatically prevents people from sharing needles and transmitting possible contagious viral infections. It is also a good example of a syringe that can be marketed both domestically in Australia and to other western countries where needle syringes are given out as part of government needle exchange programs. Also other areas of the world such as Africa where HIV is very prevalent, this syringe can be used by trained local and international health and UN professionals to help contain the spread of infectious diseases in these areas. They are easy to use and can administer drugs to people who need them safely and without risk of getting a disease yourself from accidental needle prick. The syringe has been extensively designed to incorporate a twist action and also has a once off fail safe device to prevent mulltiple persons from sharing the needle. When the syringe plunger is pressed home you cannot operate the syringe again or gain access to the needle. It is designed to be as tamper proof as possible. It simple operation, unique parts and methods employed have been designed by us. This is just one example of the type of work we can do.
